All we need to get started is a copy of the video you would like captioned, subtitled or described. We accept all major tape and digital file formats. If you don’t need master video back from us, you can provide us with a low resolution reference video.
We encourage you to contact us to discuss your specific requirements in advance of sending us your project.

The following is a list of the questions we’ll ask you in order to provide you with a quote. If you’re not sure of any of the answers, just give us a call and one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales associates will walk you through the process and provide you with guidance and recommendations.
When Ordering Closed Captioning Services
- When will your video be available for captioning?
- When would you like your project completed?
- How would you like to provide us with your program? We accept all major (and most minor) tape and digital file formats. If you’re providing us with a digital file, you can upload to either our FTP server or our encrypted high-speed Media Shuttle server, at no additional charge.
- What would you like back from us as a deliverable? We can provide you with a caption encoded tape in virtually any format, a caption embedded digital file – also in virtually any format, or a simple caption data file so that you can do your own encoding. If your desired deliverable is a caption data file, you need only send us a low resolution proxy file. See our preferred proxy file specifications.
- If your deliverable is tape, how many copies would you like?
- What language is your program, and what language captions would you like? We offer closed captioning in English, Spanish and French.
- How long is your program?
- What caption style would you like? Please note that many networks and VOD platforms have very particular style and timing requirements. We’re familiar with virtually all of them. Just let us know where your program is going!
- Will your program be broadcast?
- If your program is one of a series, how many episodes are there?
When Ordering Subtitling Services
- When will your video be available for subtitling?
- When would you like your project completed?
- How would you like to provide us with your video? We accept all major (and most minor) tape and digital file formats. If you’re providing us with a digital file, you can upload to either our FTP server or our encrypted high-speed Media Shuttle server, at no additional charge.
- What would you like back from us as a deliverable? We can provide you with a subtitle master in virtually any tape format, a digital video subtitle master – also in virtually any format, or a range of subtitle files for delivery to VOD platforms or for DVD or Blu-ray authoring. We can also provide you with a fully authored DVD or Blu-ray master, ready for replication. If your desired deliverable is subtitle files, you need only send us a low resolution proxy file. - How long is your video?
- What language is your video, and what language subtitles would you like? We offer subtitling in over 60 different languages.

When Ordering Audio Description Services
- When will your video be available for description?
- When would you like your project completed?
- How would you like to provide us with your video? We accept all major (and most minor) tape and digital file formats. If you’re providing us with a digital file, you can upload to either our FTP server or our encrypted high-speed Media Shuttle server, at no additional charge.
- What would you like back from us as a deliverable? We can provide you with a .aiff or .wav file of either just the description or a full mix with the original audio track. We can also provide you with a fully mastered broadcast ready tape or digital video file, or author your video to DVD or Blu-ray.
